About the Merchant

Kido-san crafts these cups using volcanic ash from Sakurajima, an active volcano sitting in the middle of Kagoshima Bay. This give the mottled surface a mesmerizing iridescence.

We love how these petite cups look on the table with the juxtaposition of the dark volcanic ash on the outside and pop of color (white, blue or yellow) on the inside.
